How much does Finaloop cost?

Finaloop's cost is based on your annual revenue, business complexity, and the products and services you choose. Every plan includes a 14-day free trial, so you can connect your accounts and explore Finaloop before subscribing.

‍ Accounting service fees

‍ When you subscribe, you’ll pay a monthly (or annual) subscription based on:

• Your projected annual gross receipts
• The complexity of your business
• The accounting services you need

To estimate your annual gross receipts, we use the sales data available during your free trial (your onboarding month plus the previous two months).

‍ Example

‍ If you onboard on June 14 and your gross receipts from April 1 through June 14 total $75,000, we'll annualize that amount to approximately $365,000 and use that figure to determine your pricing.Every quarter, we'll review your revenue for the last 12-month period (LTM) or, if this isn't available, we'll annualize your available data in Finaloop to get your projected annualized gross receipts. If your projected annual gross receipts increase or decrease by 10% or more, we'll adjust your subscription so your pricing continues to reflect your business fairly.

‍ Historical catch-up & onboarding

‍ Most customers also need a one-time historical catch-up service to bring their books up to date for the current year. This includes 1:1 onboarding with a dedicated Finaloop accountant who sets up your account, catches up your books for the full year, and tailors everything to your business. This fee can be waived if you already have fully reconciled books from the start of the year.

‍ Additional products & services

‍ You can also add additional products and services, including inventory management, data analytics, data warehouse services, or tax and Fractional CFO services. Pricing for these services depends on the specific needs and complexity of your business.

What’s included in my free trial?

During your free trial, you can integrate your apps, view your financial dashboard, orders, and inventory, and access your real-time Profit and Loss report (P&L) and Cash Flow statement. The reports and the app are open for the onboarding month and for the previous 2 months.

For example, if you onboard on June 15, your free period is April 1 to June 15, plus the free trial. The reports are based on our ecommerce-specific Chart of Accounts. To view your completed Balance Sheet or file your taxes, you’ll need to subscribe to our service (trust us, you’ll want to 😉).

What is the difference between Finaloop Platform and Finaloop Full-Service?

Finaloop Platform is built for brands with internal finance teams or CFOs that want real-time accounting, inventory, reconciliation, and analytics infrastructure built specifically for ecommerce and retail. Finaloop replaces fragmented finance tools and spreadsheets with one unified financial operating system, while your team continues managing day-to-day financial operations internally. Finaloop supports your team throughout month-end and year-end close and provides ongoing expert support.

Finaloop Full-Service includes everything in Platform, plus a dedicated Finaloop team to manage your financial operations for you. This includes support with AP/AR workflows, bill and invoice processing, inventory and COGS operations, reconciliations, and ongoing financial oversight. Full-Service is designed for brands that want deeper operational support without building a large internal finance team.

Yes. Brands move between Finaloop's Starter, Full-Service, and Platform plans as they grow — the books, history, and integrations come along automatically.

How does Finaloop manage inventory and COGS?

Finaloop connects inventory directly to your accounting and financial reporting and offers three methods of COGS and inventory tracking so you can choose which best works for your business:

1. Purchase based COGS: For brands with little inventory (usually less than $3,000 a month), like dropshippers
2. Sales based COGS: For brands with larger inventory values that track their COGS in an external software, like an ERP or inventory management software, and
3. InventoryIQ: For brands with larger inventory values that need a real-time inventory management system to track their inventory and COGS. InventoryIQ gives you FIFO inventory valuation, landed costs, purchasing, and cost of goods sold (COGS) in real time.

Can Finaloop replace QuickBooks, Xero, or my bookkeeper?

Yes.

Finaloop replaces traditional accounting software, outsourced bookkeeping, and many manual spreadsheets by combining AI accounting technology with expert accountants. You can outsource your accounting and finance operations to our accounting team or have your internal finance team run your books and finance operations using our real-time financial platform.

Can Finaloop catch up my books if I’m behind?

Yes.

If your books aren't up to date, Finaloop can catch them up from the beginning of the current year, and, in many cases, prior years as well. Our accounting team handles the historical cleanup and reconciliation before transitioning you to real-time financial reporting, helping ensure your books are accurate and tax-ready moving forward.

Your books for the onboarding month and the previous 2 months are free. For example, if you onboard on June 15, your free period covers April 1 - June 15, plus your free trial.

If you'd like to include earlier months, there's an additional catch-up and implementation fee based on your monthly subscription price for each month that needs to be caught up. In other words, if you onboard with Finaloop on June 15, your April, May, and most of June books are free! If you also want January to March included (recommended), you'll pay the one-time historical catch-up and 1:1 implementation fee for those months.

‍ Important tip:

‍ To avoid year-end challenges and major tax headaches, it's strongly recommended to catch up your books in Finaloop from January 1. Otherwise, you may end up spending tax season dealing with multiple data sources, inconsistencies, and reconciliation gaps from your apps and banks. Starting fresh ensures a smooth transition and fully accurate books going forward.

How long does it take to implement Finaloop?

Most businesses can connect their accounts and begin exploring Finaloop in just a few minutes. To see your fully updated financials, implementation typically takes around 48 hours after we receive the information needed to configure your account. If historical bookkeeping catch-up is required, implementation may take longer depending on the amount of historical work involved.

Unlike traditional ERP projects that often require lengthy deployments and extensive customization, Finaloop is designed to get businesses up and running quickly while maintaining accurate financial reporting from day one.

Are there any additional or hidden fees?

Our fees are pretty straightforward, but when you have non-straightforward activities, we may need to charge a bit more to cover the expert time and effort needed to get things right.

Here are some examples of when additional fees may apply:

1. An entity conversion that requires closing a short tax year.

2. Acquisition of an activity, business, or company that requires a purchase price allocation.

3. Disposition or sale of an activity, business, or company.

The exact fee depends on the complexity of the work.  We’ll always provide a custom quote before starting, but as a general guideline, additional fees usually range from 2–4 times your monthly subscription.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Cancellation policy

Yes.

You can cancel your subscription at any time. No hidden fees. You are the sole owner of your information. If you ever decide to leave Finaloop, you can take all your data with you and use it with any other bookkeeping or accounting firm.

Note that, the year-end close of your books, which includes all the documentation required by the IRS to make them tax-ready and optimized, is a separate task from the ongoing management of your books. This is done by a separate team fully dedicated to this process. Therefore, if you're looking to cancel your account after December 31 but still want to complete the year-end close of your books with Finaloop, you need to have an active subscription during the book-closing process. Please note that if you are subscribed to the Finaloop tax plan, you will also need an active subscription during the tax preparation and filing process.

The timeline for this process depends on the velocity of your feedback and availability to provide the required information. To help you accelerate this process, we prioritize the year-end closing (and tax filing, as relevant) of your books over other accounts, so you're never paying for any value you aren't receiving.

Refund policy

Subscription fees: Finaloop subscription fees paid monthly or annually are non-refundable.

Historical catch-up and 1:1 implementation fee: We understand that despite the best intentions, life can get hectic, and the timing for completing onboarding might no longer be ideal. If you subscribed but couldn’t find the time or resources to meet with your Finaloop CPA and complete onboarding within the first four weeks, you have the option to pause your subscription until you’re ready to proceed. We’ll add you to our waiting list for future onboarding when you’re prepared to start again. Alternatively, we can issue a refund for the catch-up and implementation fee (minus processing fees).
